Hi, I'm Chantel

You know, there is a lot of training and information out there that tells me what information I am ‘supposed’ to put on this part of my website – but I really want to keep it 100 here – because this is the version of me that you’re going to get when we are face to face. So here it goes…

I genuinely feel privileged that you’re here and considering ME as an option to walk along your mental health journey with you. I am a firm believer that we get the most out of therapy if we feel we vibe well with our therapist. So, if it’s not feeling like I’m that person for you THAT’S OKAY – keep going and don’t give up hope because there is a therapist out there who is looking forward to working with you. If I can be of assistance in finding that person, please let me know.

I’m Dr. Chantel Windy, or Dr. C, or just Chantel – and I have been a therapist for over five years, and I can truly say I love the work that I do. Almost every day I wake up feeling excited about sitting with my client’s and walking through the journey of life with them. On the other days, when life feels hard, you’ll find me lounging around watching Gilmore Girls, cuddling with my puppies, or hanging by the pool.

I do this work because I know what it’s like to not be able to get out of bed (and not understand why), to not want to live on this planet anymore, to think constantly about the 1000 ways a day that I could die, to have such vivid scary images in my head that I can’t tell if they’re real or not, to feel so insecure that I constantly question my worth… and a few other things that maybe I’ll mention someday. Point is, I ACTUALLY get it – I have lived it. And I’ve had great therapists, and I’ve had terrible therapists. But those great therapists really showed up for me, and really inspired me to be the kind of person that shows up for others.

Beyond all the formal education & training I’ve had (you can see that below if that’s important to you) I’ve had a lot of actual lived experience. The good stuff & the bad stuff. I have made it my mission to show up for others authentically, and all I want as a therapist is to foster a physical and emotional space that really allows others to show up as they are WITHOUT expectations.

So basically, what I’m trying to say is, I see you. I’ve been there, and somedays I’m still there – but we don’t have to be there alone and that’s why I’m here.

I thank you for the opportunity to share space with you, and please let me know how I can show up for you today.
